岩手縣遠野市．土淵小學校裡的小鳥瀨川先生，跟一群兒童的目擊，在星期一和星期三的下午四點，全身綠色，頭上有皿，與傳說中的河童非常像，在河邊郊區 出現過兩次，並有人拿起相機拍照起來。

河童是想象上的動物，水陸兩棲，形式好像4～5歲的孩子，臉與虎相似，嘴尖，身體有鱗和甲殼，毛髮很少，頭上有窪坑，放入少量的水，據說在有水的期間是在陸上強而有力，到水中啦進其他動物吸血。


松本認為一定是什麼的動物，侵入了到自己家來，松本想試 去拿布擦拭掉，但擦不掉，跟著足跡走，松本在門邊目擊到體長:約1米，頭頂部有碟子，有手足蹼，背甲殼的河童，松本趕緊去拿照相機拍下來，拍不到一分鐘， 成功拍到目擊河童最清楚的一張圖，有二腳步行身體像小孩出現在前面。
