傳說中的美人魚

2006年07月27日據俄羅斯新聞網7月31日報導，美國佛羅里達州聖彼得堡市的一 位居民日前在電子港灣（eBay）上拍賣出了一具奇特生物的屍體。
被拍賣的怪獸屍體長約1.5米，是一種海洋生物。盡管從外表上看有些恐怖，但
賣家卻將其稱為美人魚。據悉該怪獸的屍體是在一處人跡罕至的海灘上被發現
的。
賣家最初曾認為自己找到的只不過是一條奇怪的魚，但隨後他意識到，以前還從未有人發現過類似的生物。據介紹，該生物的頭部和軀干與人體非常相似，而在 腳的位置則完全是一條魚尾。
這位賣家認為，他發現的這條美人魚可能是魚和人之間的一種過渡生物，而導致它死亡的或許是有毒的赤潮。
該怪獸的起拍價格為二千塊美元。目前，已經有位買家以1550美元的價格成功將其購得。
